You’ve asked this before. With the way Communists have infiltrated the Public Schools, I would have to say, Leave the seniors alone.

Question by Kuro.: What are community service activities a group of high school students do at a senior citizen center?
I’m trying to organize some form of community service to do at a senior center, to give back to the community in a sense. One thought was Christmas caroling, in honor of the holidays.
Like, what would you want to see done? :)

1. Go the the building and organize your group to do a thorough housekeeping of the place.

2. Plan a dinner for the seniors and make and serve the food to them.

3. Give a concert for the seniors; (for the holiday or just for entertainment).

4. Invite a local historian, artist, author, etc. to come and speak or put on a slide show for the seniors. (Serve cookies and a beverage to them afterwards.) Ask the director of seniors about what interests the seniors have. They might even like to have someone come and talk with them about their concerns and see what could be done to help them voice their issues.

5. Come up with an art project and teach the seniors how to do it.

6. Set up a program with the seniors where you could have them arrange to speak about their own lives to the group. You could have one senior a month be appointed to tell something about his life or several of them talk about what they did and how things have changed since they worked. I think they enjoy talking about the “good old days” and like having others remember along with them. Maybe just organize an open discussion among the group with a leader to guide them.
