Social Seniors
Social networking websites provide “virtual communities” for people interested in various topics, “hangin’ out,” or even doing business. Members create their own online “profiles” with biographical data, pictures, interests and other information they would like to share. They communicate with each other by voice, chat, instant message, videoconference and blogs.
This page lists some of the more popular social networking sites, and those that have sections specifically dedicated to senior citizens. We do not evaluate or endorse any of these sites, but just provide them for your information.
Finally, don’t forget to check for local senior citizen clubs, senior citizens programs, or other senior citizens organizations. Most towns have at least one. They can provide information about senior housing, senior living, local senior programs and many aspects of senior living.
Finally, you might want to check into some of the senior citizen dating sites on the Internet. The idea may be a little intimidating but thousands of happy people have found senior companions through the senior networks they provide. You can “windows shop” on these site, anyway!
